Flashing Instructions
First of all, download this zipped file (26 kb) and extract it to your root (C:/) directory. After unzipping, onyour C:/ drive you will find two new directories: Flasher and Nk_files. The main flasher program (Flasher.com) is located in Flasher folder and has to be started every time you want to unlock a new Nokiaphone.
In the Nk_files folder you have some other files needed by the program itself. Also, as you will see, we have added some extra folders which were not in the original configuration, just to make it easier for you to handle the files. So in the Nk_files folder you should find 3 folders with f_loader.bin files in them, and 7folders named by a model of a Nokia phone. In each of those folders you will have to download partial Flash Filesfor that model (Download them here). This is my configuration and so far everything worked 100%so we believeit will work for you as well.
Warning:always double check, especially the start addresses. We take no responsibility if you damage your phone!
Before we start the Flasher.com program, we have to copy a f_loader.bin file, specific for that Nokia model, into the Nk_files folder. In our example it will be flashing a Nokia 3310 with software version 4.18 (always check the software version before flashing).
From one of the 3 loader folders copy the f_loader.bin file into Nk_files. When asked for overwriting the existing file, just choose yes and the specific f_loader.bin file should be copied. After you have copied the f_loader.bin file, go to the Flasher folder and run the Flasher.com program. You should see the same as the picture on the below.
(It would be best if you run the program in full screen mode).

Because of the reason that no more than 20 partial flashes can be shown in the flashes menu, we suggest that you don't keep more than the 15 most used in the Nk_files folder. You should keep others in the 7 folders which we mentioned before and occasionally copy them to Nk_files when they are needed.
Press F2 'Write data to Flash' - and you will get a menu like you can see on the picture below. With up & down arrows. Choose the model you have (3310) and press enter to get the flashes menu. On that menu choose the software version of your Nokia (3310 4.18) and press enter again.

After you pressed enter, the flashes menu will be replaced with a start address box. It is very important to fill in the right start address for the flash file you have chosen. In our case, the start address for the 3310 4.18 partial flash is 00280000. Move the cursor to the right and delete the current number. Instead fill in the start address of the flash file (00280000) be careful and double check this address!
When the start address has been filled, press enter again and proceed to the next step.

When you see this screen, if you have not done it before, it's time to connect the flasher to the LPT port (Printer port) as well as to connect it to the phone.
When you're ready to flash your phone, press enter again and shortly press the ON button on your phone to activate the f_loader.bin file. |
When you have pressed ON and activated the flash loader, you will see the screen below. First comes some checking and if everything is correct you will see a progress bar going from 0% to 100%. When the flashing is finished, under the progress bar the program will write Done!
On some systems you will not see the progress bar but wait 10 seconds and the progress bar will appear and write Done!
Press Esc on your keyboard, disconnect the phone from the flasher cable, remove the battery, put in a SIM card, put the battery back, turn on the phone and there you are. The phone is unlocked! |

Troubleshooting
It can happen that the f_loader.bin files specified with the software will not work on your phone. We have tested these loader files on many phones from almost all European networks and they work fine for me. In case they don't work with your phone, you will get the screen below, which means that the loader file can't communicate with the phone. In that case you will have to start all over again. The first step is to copy a different f_loader.bin file into your Nk_files folder and repeat the whole procedure. Once you find the right f_loader.bin file, you will have your phone unlocked in seconds! |
Sometimes you get what you can see below. When you get this, it means either you have not copied the correct f_loader.bin file into the Nk_files folder or your connector is not properly attached to your phone. In that case check your connector because sometimes it does not make a good connection to the phone. Connect the phone again to the flasher and if, after repeating all the steps, this happens again, copy another f_loader.bin file into your Nk_files folder. In the Nk_files folder you will find 8 folders with f_loader.bin files so you can experiment to find the right loader file for a specific phone. We work only with these 8 loader files and we have unlocked all phones that we had so don't give up. It will work! |

This procedure above is for unlocking of new Nokia phones with new software versions. To see which software versions are new you can see if you return to the top of the page and check the models and software versions. If you have a Nokia with an older software version than the ones mentioned, you will use another software called 'New Nokia Tool 034' which can be downloaded here(17 kb). In that case you won't need the Nokia flasher, just a simple M2BUS data cable for your phone.
The procedure of unlocking old Nokias software versions can't be more simple than it is already!. Just connect the phone to the PC on COM 1 and turn it ON, run this software, click 'Read ME' to see the software version and which locks are closed and then press 'Open All'. Wait 10 seconds, click 'Read ME' again and if the phone has been unlocked, all four locks should state 'OPEN'.
With this software you can check the software version on any Nokia. You just need to have a data cable for that phone or buy an adapter cable so that you can use your flasher cable as a data cables.
